Kacir - Skyba visit in Opava

I even don’t know how it started ... one Wednesday in August ... two friends of mine, Jaroslav Skyba and Pavel Kacir...

They arrived by car in Opava, my home city. It was a kind of nice-to-see-you-during-summer event, because Jarda spent 1 month in Istanbul, Turkey and Pavel was heading to Taiwan for 1 year...

So, my dad prepared the original Ukrainian „borsc“ soup, I served guys with some toast and we drank a bottle of champagne in the garden.

Next steps were to see a bit of Opava city center and then slightly move to dance floor. After having eaten big ice-cream sherbet, we jumped into the car and moved to 3rd biggest city in CR, to Ostrava.

Just to go to the most famous street in there, Stodolni. You are in the city center, you know there are about appr. 50 dance houses, cafes and restaurants in a small area...and three people (me, Pavel and Jarda) are behaving as money-bags. Ok, it was not too serious, but at least we had fun (do I remember well, me dancing in the street in front of the karaoke bar??.. :-) )

At 2 am we arrived in such an unbelievable village - Pavel's home...just the house and stars. And stinky stinky stench... some work on the field around Dobra village [vyvazeli ten den zrovna mocuvku :-) ]

In the morning, we said „see you in few months in Asia, Kacir“ and went for the train with Jarda.

Dunno, Jarda is able to manage seeing Pavel in 3 months as he is going for 1 semester to Hong Kong. About me, seems like I should find some sponsor or start working... Will I do it for me and Pavel?? ;-)

International Youth Camp

July 2006, 2 colossal weeks in Toscana
This year we, the delegates from Musselburgh (Scotland), Bernau (Germany), Pardubice (Czech Republic), Champigny (France), Rosignano Marittimo (Italy), Saharawi people (Western Sahara), worked with the topic of non-governmental organizations.

As representants from Czech Republic (Peta Sitkova, Jituse, Vrnda, Vojta M., Alca, Pavel Jansky, Peta Navratilova, Vojta Zehno and me), we were even trying to present some
of the AIESEC culture as well. Too funny to present „Ej dudy moje“ or do shoutting in the public :-)

What is more, we had the chance to meet 10 children from the occupied Saharawi part of the world. On one side it has broaden my point of view about a part of African continent, on the other one, you cannot imagine how easy a man can find communication with 5 yrs old kids. Even when he knows some of the European languages, the kids just Arabic and a bit of Spanish. My favourite of these kids was Senia, the girl that adores Shakira...

Not just work, but free time full of: going to beach, visiting Pisa and Firenze, going to the City Hall of Rosignano, chatting with young European people, playing bitches-bitches during night at beach, eating Italian food, sleeping under the stars, doing some sport activities...

Concerning the camp itself, every year this camp is held in one of these countries: Italy, France or Scotland. In 2007 the organising city is Musselburgh, so if there is still chance to participate, I would love to see you again, Nicole, Salif, Caro, Gianni, Matteo, Graziella, Sonia, Alison, Jens, Eilidh and so many more..!!!

Guys, let’s stay tuned to roll over the International Youth Camp 2007!
