Tallinn in 12 hours

It takes just 2 hours to reach Tallinn by plane from Prague. I left the airport in the morning and had lunch already in the capital of Estonia, Tallinn. Margeri and Mati, who picked me up in Tallin together with Deni (BUL), took us to AIESEC Estonia MC flat. For me it was the third time I had the chance to meet Herdis, my flummi friend.

In the evening, there arrived Anya, girl I got to know in Ukraine in 2006, and the next day we went together to explore the City centre. Although not planned, we spent in there 12 hours, walking, taking some rest in cafés, talking, taking pix, etc.

When reaching the old town city walls, we had the chance to buy some knit clothes (me purchasing cotton pair of socks and gloves), then moving to the building of Estonian Parliament, passing Alexander Nevsky Cathedral and St. Olav's church, reaching the 2 main view platforms.

As during the 12 days I spent in Estonia, my second day, when sightseeing, was the coldest one there! The average temperature during the day in this year season is 25-20 degrees under, so it means... freaky cold, man!

The final point to be reached that day was Tallinn harbour. We just entered the entrance hall, saw two ferries, turned around finding out we do not have enough time for moving to Helsinki and continued to another café in the centre :-)

In the evening there came Niki (Austria) and Mena (CZE), we managed to run through the Old City again, now it was pretty dark and ended in real Russian pub!

Was nice to see at least Old City of Tallinn, where old, Soviet and business world meets on just 160 square kms. One point to be mentioned is the knowledge of English language in the public, when compared with Prague, I was quite astonished how many people are able to talk in English and in Russian, too. Easy to get back on the track if being lost ;-)
Moving back to MC flat with "trolley bus" before midnight, we found out (women)drivers there are really multi task oriented!
